Welcome to Berkshire East

Berkshire East Mountain Resort! We are located in the beautiful Deerfield River Valley of Western Massachusetts and we are New England’s Outdoor Adventure Center.

While we’ve been providing great Alpine skiing to thousands of loyal customers since the early 1960’s, we now offer a bounty of additional year-round outdoor activities for your group or organization. We begin with our zip line canopy tours featured by USA Today as one of the top 10 zip line tours in the United States.

Berkshire East Mountain Resort offers three different zip line canopy tours for your group. While your group could start on the base area tour we also take first-timers out on our mountain tour where each member of your group will be given full pre-flight safety instructions to get them to soar up to a hundred feet in the air on lines up to 800 feet in length.

The mountaintop tour also features some dual lines that provide the members of your group the opportunity to zipt side-by-side. If your group is more adventurous they may want to do the valley jump tour which has lines over a half a mile in length and nearly 200 feet in the air. The valley jump tour has been featured by USA today as one of the top 10 zip line tours in the United States.

Whatever zip line tour you choose we will provide experienced guides that will ensure an enjoyable tour each and every member of your group.

If your group wants to go white water rafting we’ve got just the fit. The Bear Swamp Generating Station pulled over 1.7 billion gallons of water at an elevation nearly 800 feet above the Deerfield River. When this water is released on schedule it turns the Deerfield into a whitewater paradise.

Whatever whitewater rafting trip you choose for your group, our rigorously trained rafting guides will provide the most enjoyable rationing experience possible. Our guides take pride in being able to transform a newer group of rafters into a skilled crew who can successfully navigate the river.

If your group likes two wheel travel we have our Thunder Mountain Bike Park. All of our terrain is accessible from our brand new sky track lodge. This lift serve facility features low style trails designed and built by Gravity Logic, the same folks who develop some of the best downhill parks on the planet.

If your group is new to downhill mountain biking, our Thunder Mountain Bike Park supplies high-end rental bikes, safety gear, lessons, guided tours, retail supplies and food and beverages out of our brand new twelve thousand-square-foot timber frame Lodge at the Berkshire East ski area.

We also have the Thunderbolt, North America’s longest mountain coaster!

Now that you’ve seen all that we have to offer we hope that you will consider Berkshire East Mountain Resort for your next outdoor adventure!
