Part-Time Positions

All positions are part-time and do not include benefits. Hours may be up to 30 hours per week and may include weekends, late afternoons, early evenings and holidays  Cori background checks may be required.

Lift Attendant for Bike Park:  Monitors loading and unloading of guests and related equipment on chair and ground carpet lifts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Start up and shut off lift as instructed by manager. Provide guests with basic instruction on loading and unloading. Familiarize guests with the safety equipment used on the lift. Observe and assist guests if they have diffuculties using the lift. Ensure that guests are using lifts properly and safely. Check lift ticket or season pass ensuring it’s current and valid. Load and unload gear (i.e. fences, coolers, mountain bikes). Enforce age or ability restrictions when loading the lifts. Maintain loading and unloading ramps at required specifications. Complete daily lift logs or other required paperwork. Report lift related accidents or injuries to manager immediately. Report malfunction or other lift issues to maintenance immediately. Assist maintenance with trouble shooting when requested. Complete tramway incident reports as required. May cross train as a mountain coaster lift operator. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities): Skilled in providing outstanding customer service. Must follow company procedues for maintaining a safe workplace. Must pay attention to detail and have an extreme dedication to safety. Must pass lift operator training session prior to working at lifts. Must have a friendly and fun disposition and connect with guests. Communicate clearly using 2 way radios. Physical Demands: Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, climb, lift, reach, and pull repetitively. Must be mentally attentive and focused at all times. Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions. Core Competencies: Friendly Service: Treat people courteously and respond in a helpful manner. Integrity: Adhere to company policies & procedures maintaining strong work ethics. Mountain Coaster Staff:  Assist riders in loading and unloading coaster cars and provide them with instruction on safety protocols and the proper use of ride. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Start up and shut off mountain coaster as instructed by manager. Provide guests with instruction how to load and control their car. Familiarize guests with all safety equipment used on the ride. Observe and assist guests if they have diffuculties using the ride. Ensure that guests are using the ride properly and safely. Check wristband ensuring it’s current and valid. Collect appropriate tokens from each driver or rider. Verify guests meet the age, weight and height requirements of ride. Maintain loading and unloading ramps at required specifications. Inspect tracks, cars, and safety equipment and record findings. Perform guest evacuations off ride when necessary. Complete daily log books or other required paperwork. Tag cars in need of repair and place in designated area. Perform routine maintenance on cars, including cleaning & inspections. Report ride related accidents or injuries to manager immediately. Report malfunction or other repair concerns to manager immediately. Assist maintenance with trouble shooting when requested. Coaster Operators may cross train as a lift attendant. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities): Skilled in providing outstanding customer service. Must follow company procedues for maintaining a safe workplace. Must enjoy working with children and be comfortable with large groups. Must pass mountain coaster training session prior working at ride. Communicate clearly using 2 way radios. Zipline Guides for fall season:   Provide instruction and guide service for guests that zip line at Berkshire East. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Meet and greet all guests and answer any questions they have. Assist with check in to verify all guests are present & waivers are signed. Peform inspection of the zipline courses, gear, and all equipment. Assist guests in gearing up and verify their gear is properly fitted. Provide clear and concise directives to guests on tours. Instruct and monitor guests on zipline safety practices. Perform retrievals and evacuations when necessary. Maintain daily log books, tour sheets & other paperwork. Provide basic first aid care when necessary. Assist guests to overcome any anxieties they may have. Safely load and unload guests from moving chairlifts. Cross train and cover shifts for the Aerial Park Adventure Course. Ensure that all guests have a fun and memorable experience. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager. Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):Skilled in providing excellent customer service. First aid & CPR certification required. On-site training provided. Display good judgment skills in making decisions. Follow company procedures for maintaining a safe workplace.Communicate clearly using 2 way radios. Connect with guests and interact with children. Maintain composure and perform under stressful conditions. Maintain good communication with team members & management. Core competencies: Friendly Service: Treat people courteously and respond in a helpful manner. Work Standards: Maintain high standards in the quality & consistency of work. Teamwork: Interact with team members effectively and put company goals first. Physical Demands: Must be comfortable working at heights. Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must meet the minimum/ maximum weight requirements of 100 lb – 260 lb. Must be able to hike, stand, bend, climb, lift, reach, and pull repetitively. Must be mentally attentive and focused at all times. Must be able to adapt to climate and work in extreme weather conditions. Shift Considerations: Weekend & holiday shifts required. Hours may be long, including early morning through early evening.  Age Requirements: Applicants must be at least age 18. Other Requirements: Cori background check required prior to being hired. Must complete and pass guide training session prior to being hired. Guide training is scheduled during  the last week of August. Must pass ATV driver safety training session (if required).

 Adventure Park Staff for fall season:  Provide instruction and guidance for guests using the Aerial Adventure Park or Tree House Trail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Greet guests and provide them with general course information & direction. Check guests to ensure waivers are signed & tickets are purchased. Familiarize guests with the safety equipment used on the course. Observe and assist guests as they maneuver throughout the attraction. Verify guests meet the age and weight restrictions of attraction. Assess guest age and skill level/ ability and make recommendations. Ensure that guests are using equipment properly and safely. Monitor ticket times to assure everyone gets alloted time on course. Perform retrievals and evacuations when necessary. Provide basic first aid care when necessary. Perform course and gear inspections and maintain proper documentation. Assist with the upkeep of grounds & maintaining park equipment. Ensure that all guests have a fun and memorble experience. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager. Minimum Qulaifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities): Skilled in providing outstanding customer service. Display good judgement skills in making decisions. Must follow company procedues for maintaining a safe workplace. Must pay attention to detail and have an extreme dedication to safety. Must have a friendly and fun disposition and connect with guests. Prior experience working with children helpful. Physical Demands: Must be comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet. Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be under the maximum course weight requirements of 275 lb. Must be able to stand, bend, climb, lift, reach, and pull repetitively. Must be mentally attentive and focused at all times. Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions. Decision Making: Use sound judgment to make good decisions. Shift Considerations: Weekend and holiday shifts are required. Other Requirements: Cori background check required prior to being hired. First aid & CPR certification preferred. Must successfully complete Aerial Park Course training.

Cook:   Prepare and cook short order food and menu items minimizing loss and waste.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Promote a positive interaction and experience with dining guests.   Prepare food following standard company recipes and menus. Adhere to food portioning standards established by company. Ensure availability of supplies and foods and maintain order lists. Allow adequate time for food preparation.  Adhere to proper food preparation and handling techniques.  Store food properly and safely by marking with dates and item name.  Report any necessary equipment repair or maintenance needed to manager.  Plan food production to coordinate with busy meal serving hours.  Maintain food preserving the quality, temperature, and appealing appearance. Keep kitchen, food storage areas and coolers neat and clean at all times.  Clean and maintain equipment and utensils used in food preparation. Complete food temperature checks before service.  Check and maintain correct temperatures of coolers and freezers.  Comply with sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.  Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.   Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):  Skilled in providing outstanding customer service.  Able to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively.  Prior training or experience in food service industry required.  Experience with deep fryer, grill, meat slicer, smoker, stove & oven.  Serv-Safe and Food Allergens certifications preferred.  High energy and stamina required.   Core Competencies:  Friendly Service: Treat people courteously and respond in a helpful manner.   Teamwork: Interact with team members effectively put company goals first.   Work Standards: Maintain high standards in the quality & consistency of work.  Physical Demands:  This is a physically demanding position.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds,  Must be able to stand, bend, climb, lift, kneel, reach & push repetitively.  Must be tolerant of using strong and pungent cleaning products. Must be able to tolerate temperature flucuations in kitchen area. Hours: Late afternoon and evenings, including weekends & holidays. Age Requirements: Applicants must be at least age 18.

Bike Mechanic:   Service, maintain and repair mountain bikes for our rental fleet and for guests who ride at Thunder Mountain Bike Park.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Assemble new bikes for our rental fleet.  Identify faults, damage, and wear on mountain bikes.  Estimate parts & labor costs and provide customer quotes. Carry out routine maintenance service and safety checks on bikes. Repair bikes: (i.e. wheels, derailleurs, brakes, levers, cables, chains, tires).  Wash and clean bikes.  Maintain inventory of parts in bike shop for retail and rental fleet.  Order bike parts, check in orders, label prices,and adjust inventory.  Keep workshop clean, maintain tools & equipment in good repair.  Test ride bikes to diagnose or to ensure they are functioning properly.  Assist with special bike events or promotions at the resort.  Inspect returning rental bikes before they return to bike rental fleet.  Maintain record of all service work performed on bike rental fleet.  Sell products and repair services using POS software.  Process cash, credit & gift card transactions accurately & efficiently.  Manage the till, count start cash and prepare nightly deposit bags.  Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.   Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):   Skilled in providing outstanding customer service. Experience with current mountain bike technology.  Able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.  Bike shop service experience or mechanic certification required. Mountain bike riding experience required.  Able to work independently with little to no supervision. Physical Demands:  Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 60 lbs.  Must be able to stand, bend, climb, lift, reach, push and pull repetitively.  Must be mentally attentive and focused at all times.   Shift Considerations:    Hours may be long, including early morning through early evening.  Frequent weekend and holiday shifts.  Age Requirements:  Applicants must be at least age 18. Whitewater Positions  

Bus Driver:

Transport whitewater rafting guests to river locations in company vehicles during the rafting season, (mid-May through early October). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Provide transportation to various raft launch & take out locations.  Perform safety inspection of vehicle prior to and after trips.  Report any vehicle mechanical problems to management.  Assist with rafting gear; packing, handing it out and collecting after trip. Clean vehicle;  sweep floor, empty trash, close and wash windows.  Fuel vehicle when needed and maintain all fluid levels.  Maintain trip logs and other driver paperwork as required.  Drive safely and follow all regulations while driving our vehicles.  Secure trailer properly to van and secure rafts to trailer.  Communicate with guests & staff and make each trip a fun experience. Provide driver service for other resort events and functions as needed. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.  Minimum  Qualifications    (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities): Skilled in providing outstanding customer service.  Must have a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with endorsements (either Passenger & Airbrake endorsement or school bus endorsement).   Current DOT medical card (must be carried with you). Clean Motor Vehicle Driver Record.  Must be able to turn bus around in designated areas. Must be able to safely navigate and back up van towing a trailer.   Physical Demands: No smoking or use of tobacco products on the job.  Shift Considerations:   Hours may be morning through early evenings. Frequent weekend and holiday shifts.  Age Requirements:    Applicants must be at least age 18.  Other Requirements:   Cori background check required prior to being hired. No smoking or use of tobacco products on the job.  Competencies: Adaptability: Adapt well to changing work priorities and company needs.
