Spring & Summer Positions

We are now accepting applications for zipline and bike park positions.  We anticipate the need to hire multiple staff as we gear up for our spring & summer mountain activities.   All positions are part-time and do not include benefits. Hours may be up to 32 hours per week and may include weekends, late afternoons, early evenings and holidays   Applications are being accepted through April 15 or until all positions have been filled. Applicants must be 18+ years old. Cori background checks may be required.

Bike Mechanic: Looking for a reliable, hardworking team player with good mechanical skills. Will be responsible for the general upkeep, repair, cleaning and maintenance of our mountain bike rental fleet as well as performing repair work on our guest’s bikes. Must have prior proven experience working in a bike repair shop.

Mountain Bike Guide: Responsible for guiding and providing bike instruction to guests at Thunder Mountain Bike Park. All guides will be required to complete either a level 1 or a level 1 and 2 guide course. Responsibilities include interacting with guests, providing orientation to bike park and bike instruction. Requirements include competent riding ability on all trails you guide, CPR and First Aid, good customer service skills, and strong communication skills. Must be available for all training courses. CORI background checks required.

Bike Trail Crew: Responsible for the general upkeep of our bike trails. Duties may include shoveling, grass mowing, haying, seeding, raking, mulching, weeding, planting, pruning, edging, watering, fertilizing, applying pesticides, and removal of trash and debris. Must be able to safely operate hand tools, power mowers, weed trimmers, sweepers, leaf blowers, and other small power equipment. Person must be reliable and hardworking with the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Must be able to follow directions and also be able to work unsupervised. ATV driving experience preferred.

Whitewater Positions  

Rafting Photographer:

Provide photography services for the whitewater rafting season, (mid-May through early October). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Drive to specific river locations using company vehicle.  Take photographs capturing guest’s rafting experience.  Use safe practices on & near river putting everyone’s safety first. Communicate with guests & staff and make each trip a fun experience. Maintain camera and photography equipment in good working order. Inventory and order related photography supplies as needed. Download photos and set up a digital slide show for returning guests.  Explain photo packages and assist guests with photo purchases.  Provide photography service for other resort events and functions as needed. Boost revenues with awesome photos and creative selling techniques. Transport guests and/or rafts to off-site locations when necessary. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.  Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):  Skilled in providing excellent customer service. Must have a current driver’s license and a clean vehicle driver record.  Experience with outdoor and action photography preferred. Able to use computer including digital photography equipment. Proficient in social media platforms.  Basic to advanced knowledge of video and photo editing software.   Physical Demands:    No smoking or use of tobacco products on the job.  Must be mentally attentive and focused at all times.  Must be able to adapt to climate and work in extreme weather conditions.  Shift Considerations:    Hours may be morning through early evenings. Frequent weekend and holiday shifts.  Age Requirements: Applicants must be at least age 18.

Other Part Time Positions:

Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful customer service for guests who require assistance for any of our resort activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities.  Provide expert advice to guests regarding our activities.  Answer phone, retrieve voice messages and transfer calls when needed. Know all of the resort’s products, prices, hours and availability. Know all discounts, special pricing, or other marketing promotions. Answer questions and respond to e-mails directed to Customer Service. Handle guest complaints in a professional and diplomatic way. Direct  guests & vistors to the appropriate location or staff when required. Assist with special events or promotions at the resort. Act as liason at base lodge for emergencies or bad weather situations. Make reservations, collect payment, prepare quotes & send confirmations. Check in rafting and zipline guests or guests of other reserved activities. Verify accurate completion of waivers and apply wristbands to guests. Sell products & services (ticket, pass, locker, rental, lesson, gift card). Process cash, credit & gift card transactions accurately & efficiently. Manage the till, count start cash and prepare nightly deposit bags. Complete sales reports and accounting forms for back office. Assist with marketing calls, mailings, or brochure deliveries. Monitor web-site for accuracy and notify manager of corrections needed. Redeem on-line coupons and discounts (i.e. Groupon ). Maintain e-mail lists for current or prospective guests. Provide other information and assistance  to guests when needed. May cross train as retail clerk.  Perform other tasks as assigned by  manager.   Minimum  Qualifications  (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):  Skilled in providing excellent customer service. Specialist knowledge of products used for ski, raft, bike & other activities. Computer savvy, able to quickly learn sales and reservation programs. Excellent interpersonal skills, friendly and helpful disposition. Outstanding communication skills in person and on the phone. Neat and professional appearance. Portray a positive company image. Able to identify and perform other tasks during non-busy times. Able to count cash and perform simple mathematical functions. Communicate clearly using 2 way radios. Physical Demands:  Must be able to lift up to 50  pounds. Must be able to stand, sit, and work at keyboard for long periods of time. Must be tolerant of temperature variances inside and outside lodge. Shift considerations:  Must be flexible, frequent night, weekend and holiday shifts.
