Aerial Adventure Park
Course Operators and Course Monitors: Job Duties: Performs course and gear inspections and maintains proper documentation; Notifies Course Manager of any safety concerns as they are encountered; Greet guests and provide them with the general course information and direction; Familiarize guests with the safety equipment used on the course; Check guests for wristbands to ensure waivers are signed & tickets are purchased; Observe and assist guests as they maneuver throughout the park and attractions; Assess guest age and skill level/ ability and make recommendations as needed; Ensure that guests are using equipment properly and safely; Make certain that all guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience; Monitors start and end times on wristbands to assure everyone gets 30 minutes on course; Provide assistance and guidance to guests as needed, Performs rescues and evacuations as needed; Assists with the upkeep of grounds and maintaining park equipment as needed; Assist with checking in guests for special events or large groups. Qualifications: Must be dedicated to the safety and well-being of all of the parks guests; Must have a friendly and fun disposition and experience working with children; Must pay attention to detail and have an extreme dedication to safety; Must be comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet; Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions; Must be able to lift 50 lbs; Must be available to work on weekends and holidays; Must be age 18 or older; Must pass a Cori background check prior to being hired; Must successfully complete operator and/or monitor training
Mountain Coaster Positions
Mountain Coaster Worker: Attendants will assist riders in loading and unloading coaster cars and provide them with instruction on safety protocols and the proper use of coaster cars. Responsibilities include verifying that all riders have tickets and wristbands and that they meet the age, weight and height requirements. Duties also include inspection of tracks and cars, maintaining loading and unloading ramps, maintaining daily logs, and keeping the general area and coaster cars clean. You will be in direct contact with our guests and are expected to be friendly and helpful when greeting and assisting them. You will be working outside in all types of weather and must be agile on rough terrain. Applicants must be at least age 18. Cori background checks are required. You must pass on on-site training session in order to be hired. These are part-time positions (up to 32 hours per week), including weekends and holidays.
We are now taking applications for the upcoming ski season. All winter positions are either seasonal positions or part-time positions and do not include benefits. Winter positions are weather dependent and normally start in early December and end in late March. Winter employees are encouraged to apply for continued employment at the resort for our spring and summertime activities.
Busser: Monitors and restocks beverage coolers, condiments, and paper products and stocks snack items. Responsible for cleaning tables in the dining area as customers come and go. Vacuums and sweeps floors as needed and empties trash in common areas. Assists with washing trays and dishes. Performs bathroom inspections and is responsible for ensuring clean and sanitary conditions of overall area. Hours are typically late afternoons and evenings, weekends, and holidays. All applicants must be at least 16 years old.
Children’s Center: Responsible for supervising children (age 2 ½ – 6) at our on-site day center. Will engage in both indoor and outside play including creative crafts, music and drama, story time, games, sliding and snow play. Duties include instruction for learn to ski for 3 – 6 year olds. Applicants must have prior experience, love children, be energetic and mature. Basic first aid & CPR certification required. This is a weekend, holiday, and holiday week only position, (closed most weekdays). Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Cori background check required.
Cleaner: Cleans bathrooms, empties trash & recyclables, vacuums, mops and uses floor cleaning machinery. Responsible for other cleaning projects as needed. This is a physically demanding position. Responsible for ensuring clean and sanitary conditions in all areas of the lodges. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Hours may be late nights and/or early mornings (when the lodges are closed. All applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Cook: Responsible for the preparation and short order cooking of menu items. Includes stoves and ovens, deep fryer, grill, made to order sandwiches, soups and salads. Will take food orders and have direct contact with customers. Responsible for the set up and clean up of all kitchen areas as well as restocking. Experience required. Serve Safe certification preferred. All applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Customer Service Representative: Customer Service Representative is responsible for answering phones, taking reservations, checking in guests, responding to e-mails, and handling all types of sales transactions. Other tasks include selling tickets and working in the retail shop, and rotation of coverage for our call center. You must be computer savvy and able to quickly learn various point of sales systems and our Resmark reservation system. Representatives must be able to accurately handle all types of transactions in a fast paced setting. There is direct contact and interactions with guests answering questions and problem solving. You must be familiar with all aspects of Berkshire East and be able to provide clear directives and information to the guests. This position requires a friendly, helpful and outgoing personality. You must have a flexible schedule and be available to work many weekends, holidays, and some early evenings. Applicants must be 18 or older.
Food Cashier: Responsible for ringing food and beverage items into the computerized register system(s). Must collect payment from all food service guests and make accurate change for the transactions assuring that everyone pays correct price for all food. Must be able to handle various types of sales transactions, including cash, credit cards, gift cards, and gift certificates. Must be able to accurately process discounts and refunds. Other responsibilities may include bussing and cleaning duties during non-peak times. All applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Lift Attendant: Lift attendants are responsible for monitoring the loading and unloading of guests and related equipment on chair and ground carpet lifts. Tubing attendants will instruct guests on proper use of lanes and gear, and hold tubes while guests load. Lift attendants will instruct guests on proper use of lifts and are expected to be friendly and helpful when greeting and assisting them. You will also be responsible for checking lift tickets or season passes and wristbands for anyone using the lifts. You will be working outside in all types of weather. Duties include setting up fencing and maintaining loading and unloading ramps, maintaining daily logs and assisting with some ground work, including shoveling. You must have a flexible schedule and be available to work many weekends, holidays, and some early evenings. Applicants must be 18 or older. Cori background check required.
Racing Coach: Responsible for teaching ski and racing skills for all levels and ages. Coaches work in high visibility positions and are expected to be particularly friendly, courteous and patient at all times. Will work outside, sometimes in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to attend mandatory training clinics when deemed necessary. USSA certification preferred. All applicants must be at least 18 years old. CORI background checks required.
Rental Attendant: Rental Shop attendants are responsible for distributing ski & snowboard equipment to our guests. Duties also include checking in return equipment and putting it away. Computer skills are required as all rental equipment inventory is managed in an on-site computerized database. All applicants must be at least 18 years old. CORI background check required.
Rental Technician: Responsible for setting ski and snowboard bindings according to manufacturer’s specifications and distributing ski & snowboard equipment to our guests. Will assist the customer with the proper fit of equipment and checking in returned equipment. Computer skills are required as all rental equipment inventory is managed in an on-site computerized database. All applicants must be at least 18 years old. CORI background check required.
Retail Cashier: Responsible for the sale of products and clothing for our retail store. Must accurately process sales and make accurate change using a computerized sales register. Responsible for monitoring stock and maintaining inventory of all sale items. Responsible for maintaining the retail store in a neat and organized fashion, as well as the retail storage area. All applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Ski & Snowboard Instructors: Position responsibilities include teaching ski or snowboard skills for all levels and ages. Instructors work in high visibility positions and are expected to be particularly friendly, courteous and patient at all times. Will work outside, sometimes in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to attend mandatory training clinics when deemed necessary. PSIA certification preferred. All applicants must be at least 16 years old. CORI background check required.
Snow-maker: Responsible for the safe operation of snow guns and other snow-making equipment. Work is mostly outside and sometimes under extreme weather conditions. Twelve hour shifts, (day or night), sometimes 7 days per week. Manual labor position must be able to pull heavy hoses with a lot of walking on hard pack, soft snow, or icy surfaces. ATV driving experience required. Some positions may require the operation of large vehicles and equipment and will require experience. Must have a valid driver’s license. All applicants must be at least 18 years old. Seasonal dates for this position are November 16 – February 28, weather dependent.
Ticket Sellers: Duties include selling lift tickets, mountain coaster tokens, and selling admission to the other activities we offer. You will also handle transactions for guests purchasing lessons and rental equipment. You will collect payment from guests and make accurate change for the transactions assuring that everyone pays correct price for products. In addition to the sale, you must verify that each guest has properly completed a waiver for each activity. There is direct contact with our guests and you are expected to be friendly and helpful when greeting and assisting them. You must be computer savvy and able to handle various types of sales transactions in a fast paced setting. Prior cashier experience is preferred. You must have a flexible schedule and be available to work many weekends, holidays, and some early evenings. Applicants must be 18 or older.
Tuning Shop Technician: Responsible for the operation of ski and snowboard tuning equipment, (sharpening edges, waxing, adjusting and setting up equipment, etc). Will maintain and service equipment for both the rental department as well as for our guest’s. Will have direct contact with our quests. Must be able to use a cash register and credit card machine and make accurate transactions. All applicants must be at least 18 years old. CORI background check required.
