So far, the winter of 2016 has gotten off to a great start, natural snow, cold temps and a hard working snowmaking crew have created mid winter conditions for the December holidays. We are currently in a reprieve from the arctic air that made the snowmaking so good a week ago, but the great conditions should hold for the foreseeable future. The B-east is primed for a great holiday.
Coming up we get a few good nights of snow making, which should just about finish off the trail count. We’ve got a couple of weather systems rolling though, which we should manage just fine. Today (xmas eve), we’ve got a small amount of precipitation, which will fall in the form of snow and ice in the higher elevations of the hill towns. Monday, we’ve got a warmer, but smaller system rolling through in the late afternoon. That storm will pull in cold air and snowmaking will resume. Late in the week, there’s a good chance for a sizable snowstorm.
We look forward to seeing you on the slopes.
