With three different zip line canopy tours featuring some of North America’s longest zip lines, Berkshire East Canopy Tours is New England’s largest zip line destination. Featured by USA Today as one of the Top 10 Zip lines of the United States! Whether you are getting a taste of zipping on our Base Area Tour or seeking an adrenaline rush on our Valley Jump, there is something to suit all interests. Each tour has limited space, so make sure to make a reservation in advance.

The Valley Jump tour is our most adventurous and adrenaline filled tour! This is one of North America’s premier zip line tours. After a scenic chairlift ride to the top of the mountain, it is all downhill… with each line getting longer and faster as you go. The first four lines, ranging from 700 to 1100 feet will have you honing your skills and zooming through the canopy before your arrival to X1 and X2. Two of the country’s longest zip lines, our X lines are the real deal! X1 (2300 ft) transports you from one mountain to mountain, with great views of the valley floor far below. After a short but rigorous hike up the other side, the tour’s longest and fastest line awaits! At a length of almost half a mile, X2 returns you back to Berkshire East Ski Area at speeds up to 50 mph and almost 200 ft in the air! To top it all off, our dual lines on X1 and X2 allow you share the exhilaration with your friends as you race head to head across the valley. If you are looking for a heart pumping, adrenaline filled experience, then try out Berkshire East’s Valley Jump Tour! The Valley Jump Tour is also an extremely popular option for larger groups, like scout groups, schools, kids camps and youth groups. From there, a series of platform and ground landings await as you navigate across the top of the mountain. Unique dual racing lines provide the opportunity to challenge your friends and zip side by side through the tree tops! The tour culminates in a relaxing chairlift ride, providing wonderful views of the Deerfield River Valley below. This classic zip line tour is perfect for first time or returning zippers. *Transport by vehicle may replace the chairlift ride based on weather, maintenance or otherwise. Group Booking Information With Berkshire East Mountain Resort

Planning an adventure for your next business meeting, family get together, birthday, wedding, or class reunion? Are you a non-profit group planning a field trip for your school, summer camp, recreation program, scout troop or youth group? We will be happy to assist you in planning a zip-lining trip to make your group’s next adventure a fun and memorable experience. Groups must call us at 413-339-6617 to check for availability and make a reservation.

Group Organizer:

Please designate one person as organizer for efficient contact, scheduling, booking and payment. As organizer, please double check that all participants fall within the tour’s age / weight requirements. Please collect all participants signed waivers to streamline the check-in process on the day of your trip. When applicable, they must also assign adult chaperones and provide us with a participant roster. Non-profit organizations comprised of youths or participants in need of adult supervision are allowed one free adult chaperone for every 10 paying participants, (not applicable for private groups). Participant rosters are helpful for checking in larger groups and should clearly identify adult chaperones.

Payment Options:

In order to get discounted group rates, full payment must be made by the organizer when the reservation is set-up. We do not extend group rates for parties wanting their individual participants to pay separately. Please note that special payment arrangements are available for certain non-profit organizations that require an invoice and need time to acquire a check from their organization. In these instances, we do require a deposit at the time the reservation is made. The group’s final numbers and check must be received by us at least 5 days in advance of your tour.

Groups should plan to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance of your tour time, (45 minutes for large groups). Any personal items not being taken on the tour should be left at home or in your vehicle. The group organizer must check in at the Customer Service desk in the Main Lodge upon arrival. The organizer will assist us in verifying that all participants are here and that the waivers have been fully completed and signed. Once check-in is complete the group will be directed to their designated tour station(s). Participants will then meet their tour guides, review our safety directives, and get geared up. Often times large groups are split into smaller groups of 10 – 12 participants and tours are sent out staggered every 15 minutes. If applicable, a chaperone should be assigned to each smaller group to assist our guides with supervision. The length of time a group can spend on-site the day of their tour varies depending on the number of participants, which tour(s) were booked, the weather, and if they have opted to have lunch here.

Berkshire East Mountain Resort is home to zip lining, white water rafting, North America’s longest Mountain Coaster, and downhill mountain biking. Our main lodge offers seating, restrooms, and free Wi-Fi. We have a gift shop which sells snacks & drinks, apparel, bug repellent, sunscreen, and souvenirs. Group lunches must be pre-arranged and paid for in advance of your trip, please contact customer service to schedule. Your group can choose from either a BBQ option or cold lunch option. BBQ includes the participant’s choice of either a hot dog, hamburger, or veggie burger. Cold lunch option includes the participant’s choice of a sandwich (ham, turkey, or veggie). Group lunches include chips, a drink, and ice cream. We also have a cafe on-site which offers a full lunch menu and is open during our peak zip season.

Favorably! Not many canopy tours offer our complement of zip lines, lift rides, and experience. Not to mention a lot of repeat business from around our western Massachusetts. Most people leave wanting more. Our core policy is to give people the experience of a lifetime.

Should I Tip My Guide?

Similar to other service industries, if a guest feels like he or she has received exceptional service, a tip for the guides is encouraged. A great deal of training and attention to detail has gone into the preparation and execution of each tour. If you feel like you have experienced an exceptional tour, it is likely due to the professional and diligent approach of your guides.

“Best Way to See the Berkshires!”

Reviewed October 13, 2015

Our large group of 14 had a fantastic time Zip Lining at Berkshire East Canopy Tour. Four of us did the Valley Jump Tour and eight (including kids) did the Mountain Top Tour. Guides were informative, patient and thorough and worked with those who were nervous. Safety was the focus and there wasn’t a moment of down time. The guides kept the group moving and made the experience memorable. No other way to see the beauty of the Berkshires! Also did the Mountain Coaster and it was really fun for the kids.
