From first-timers to advanced skiers and riders looking to perfect their turns, Berkshire East’s Snow Sports School has you covered. A PSIA-AASI member school, we offer beginner packages, one-on-one lessons, multiweek-long kids and adult programs, and more with our trained and experienced staff.

JUNIOR EXPLORERS

A 6-week program for ages 5 to 7

Join us for the Junior Explorers program!

New this year we are offering Junior Explorers on Saturday afternoons (currently for skiers only). 

This program historically sells out. Click this link to join our lottery. We draw from the lottery weekly starting 10/21, until the program is at capacity.

Junior Explorers is a 6-week, 2 hour seasonal program for kids ages 5 to 7 years old. This program will cater to children of all abilities, novice through advanced, interested in improving their skiing or riding in a social environment.

Groups will be split by ability. To maximize learning and attention, groups will be kept small, typically ranging from three to five children. 

Lift tickets and rentals are not included in the Junior Explorers program. Lift tickets can be purchased with the lesson as a package. Rentals must be purchased separately.

Dates: 1/4, 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/22

Junior Explorers will not meet on 1/18 or 2/15

Make-up date: 3/1

Cancellation Policy

We retain a $10 cancellation fee for any cancellations made more than 30 days in advance of your scheduled program. All reservations are non-refundable 30 days or less to your scheduled program. Exceptions to this policy will be made for injury with a signed doctor's note. We will not prorate missed days for sickness, inclement weather, planned vacations or any other reasons. In the event that the mountain is closed, a makeup day will be scheduled the Sunday following the last scheduled session.

Our most popular children's program, Mountain Explorers, runs for six weeks and provides kids of all abilities the consistency and group environment they need to learn new skills and develop a lifelong passion for skiing and riding.

Kids 8-14 are grouped by ability from first-time skiers and riders to those ripping every trail on the mountain.

Freeride

A 6-WEEK PROGRAM FOR AGES 7-14

Join us for our new Freeride program!

Ages: 7 - 14

Saturday Mornings - 9:00 to 12:00

Dates: 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, (skip 2/14), 2/21, 2/28.

Makeup: 3/7

Berkshire Freeride is for kids seeking to learn and expand freestyle skills in the terrain park and all over the mountain.

Ski and snowboard groups will be split by ability and coaches will focus on honing in fundamentals and progression. Participants should expect to ski and ride bumps, trees (as weather allows), natural drops, natural jumps and small / medium terrain park features. This program is non competitive and geared towards kids looking for an outlet beyond Mountain Explorers or Racing. 


This program is for advanced to expert skiers and riders. Participants must be able to autonomously be able to link turns on black diamond trails. Skiers must be making parallel turns consistently on advanced terrain. Snowboarders must be linking heel and toes side turns on black trails and be able to ride switch. Skiers and riders must be proficient off piste (off groomed trails).
